Terms of Use
Effective date: September 29, 2026 · Last updated: September 29, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of granitecoasthome.com and the estimate forms and other online services offered by Granite Coast Home Services LLC (“GCHS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Agreement to these Terms
By using granitecoasthome.com or submitting a request through it, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website.
These Terms cover the website. Any work we perform for you is governed by your written estimate, contract, and change orders, which control if they conflict with these Terms.
About Granite Coast Home Services
Granite Coast Home Services LLC is a locally owned Maine home-services and renovation company. We provide renovations and remodeling, decks and outdoor structures, repairs and handyman work, crawl space encapsulation and insulation, drain cleaning, and lead abatement under a license issued by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (License LC-0279). When a project needs a licensed plumber or electrician, we coordinate that work.
Website information is not a quote
Information on this website is general and is provided to help you understand our services. It is not a price quote, a promise that a particular service or schedule is available, or a guarantee of a particular result. Every home is different, and conditions we can’t see from a description or photo can change what a job requires.
Website content is not a substitute for an on-site evaluation, a lead inspection or risk assessment, engineering advice, or legal advice.
Estimate requests
Submitting an estimate request doesn’t create a contract or obligate you or us to anything. We may decline a project for any lawful reason — and if a job isn’t a good fit for us, we’ll tell you. Please give us accurate information so we can respond helpfully.
An estimate is based on the conditions we observe and the information you provide at the time. Hidden or changed conditions — for example, damage discovered behind a wall — may require a written change order before the work continues.
Your project is governed by a written agreement
The price, scope, schedule, payment terms, and warranty for any work we perform are set out in your written estimate, contract, and change orders.
- For home construction or improvement work over $3,000, we provide a written contract as required by Maine law.
- We never ask for more than one-third of the contract price as an initial deposit.
- Changes to the scope or price are documented in written change orders that you approve before the changed work begins.
Lead-related information
Information on this website about lead is general education. It is not a lead inspection, risk assessment, or clearance determination. Please don’t scrape, sand, or chip suspect paint to check it or to take photos.
Lead abatement and lead-safe renovation are different kinds of work. Your estimate will state plainly which kind of work it covers.
Emergencies
Granite Coast Home Services is not an emergency-response service, and the website and estimate form are not monitored around the clock. If you smell gas, see fire or smoke, have an electrical hazard, or face any immediate danger, leave the area and call 911 or your utility’s emergency line first.
Photos and information you send us
You keep ownership of photos, documents, and other materials you send us. By sending them, you allow us to use, store, and share them as reasonably needed to evaluate, estimate, perform, and document your project, as described in our Privacy Policy. Please send only materials you have the right to share. We will not publish photos of your home in our marketing without your permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information or requests
- Impersonate another person or submit a request for a property you have no authority to act for
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our website or systems, or interfere with how they work
- Introduce malware or use automated tools to scrape the site or flood our forms
- Use the website to harass, threaten, or harm anyone, or for any unlawful purpose
Our content
The Granite Coast Home Services name, logo, text, photos, and other original content on this website belong to us and may be protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and share our pages for personal, noncommercial purposes, but you may not copy or reuse our content commercially without our permission.
Related companies and other websites
Granite Coast Home Services, Maine Community Home Alliance (MCHA), and Maine Community Insurance Agency (MCIA) share common ownership but are separate businesses. You never need an MCHA membership or an MCIA policy to hire us. When you request a service through MCHA or MCIA — or we perform an inspection arranged for an MCIA client — the companies may share the information needed to provide it, as described in our Privacy Policy. Links to other websites, including theirs and government sites, are provided for convenience; those sites have their own terms and privacy practices.
Disclaimers and limits
We work to keep this website accurate and available, but we don’t guarantee that it will always be error-free, current, or uninterrupted, and we may change or remove content at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that result solely from relying on general website information instead of a written estimate or contract.
Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty in your contract or any right you have under Maine consumer-protection law or other law that cannot be waived.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine. If you have a concern, please contact us first — we would much rather hear about a problem and fix it. These website Terms do not require arbitration, waive your right to participate in a class action, or limit your right to use any court, agency, or consumer-protection process available under the law. Disputes about a specific project are governed by your contract for that project.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Changes to these website Terms do not change a signed contract for work already agreed.
